FANTASTAR: Process. Early steps in RVK

What is it :

Fantastar is a devised-installation theatre piece that is created by Icelandic, Greenlandic, Faroese & Danish artists from various fields.

The artists will come together and study traditions, national images, believes, illusions and delusions in those countries, recycle and sample these stories and remake into their own fictional documentary in the form of performances, sculptures, installations and other art forms.

Fantastar will take place at the harbor in Reykjavík, Tórshavn & Nuuk the summer of 2014. The premiere is set on 22. may 2014 in Reykjavík and is in close collaboration with Reykjavík´s Art festival, the National theater in Iceland. One of the projects goals in to be in close collaboration with the local community, to work with local artists & institutions.
